Analysis: Drew Harris is going to be a special player. Even as a sophomore he has the right package to be an All-Star running back. With more work in the weight room and on the football field, Harris could possibly be a 5-Star prospect in a couple of years. Harris is a hard running, physical type of back that relies on his strength and footwork to gain yardage.  He can be titled as a “bruiser back" because he runs with a punishing type of style that leaves defenses battered and bruised at the end of games. When watching Harris’s game film one can’t help but think they are watching a younger but faster version of former Michigan RB Brandon Minor. Harris has great football speed. He hits his holes with good bursts and with a good rate of speed. As he matures and gets bigger physically he is going to become a lot tougher to bring down. As each run develops Harris never seems to slow down, throughout the duration of his runs, he keeps his feet moving and keeps driving for extra yardage until the whistle is blown. Harris is not afraid of contact and does a great job of lowering his shoulders to run through defenders. He is definitely a player to watch. It won’t be much longer before he starts hearing from big time BCS schools. As Harris’s recruitment heats up and his stats on the field pile up Top Prospect Sports will bring you all the latest information regarding this future star-studded back.
