Yesterday Deion Barnes was informed a Big 10 powerhouse school joined in the race for his talents. The 6-foot-5, 220-pound defensive end from Northeast HS in Philadelphia, PA was offered by the Penn State Nittany Lions. This latest offer is Barnes' third offer. He holds other offers from Pitt and University of South Carolina. It will be quite sometime before Barnes makes his final decision. He wants to visit more schools and see what other offers will come his way. He does not have a leader but admitted to Rivals.com "I don't really have any favorites but I do like South Carolina a lot." He further went on to say to Rivals.com, "Actually I like everybody that's talking to me."
Next up for this talented DE prospect is a trip to Ann Arbor, Michigan for the annual "Maize and Blue" Spring Game on April 17th. Will the Michigan Wolverines be the next team to extend an offer?
