Analysis: Miles Shuler is another under-the-radar type of prospect in the 2011 class. He is a burner on the football field with his speed. Shuler is a multi-sport athlete. Last year he won the Group 2 New Jersey State title in the 100 meter in track. Shuler currently holds seven Division 1 offers. These schools are recruiting him to be a running back or a receiver. Shuler plays quarterback and cornerback for the Long Branch HS football team. Despite his size and weight he plays with a lot of aggression on defense. He has a keen awareness of where the ball is located. He makes good reads, reacts quickly to the ball carrier and makes solid tackles. On offense he is a threat with his speed and running ability. Shuler would most likely end up an athlete at the next level. Teams would utilize his variety of talents to be able to find a place for Shuler on the football field.
