2011 Prospect Profile: DaVaris Daniels

DaVaris Daniels - WR/S - 6’3” 190
Vernon Hills, IL - Vernon Hills HS
4.47 40 - 41.5” vertical (Wow!!)
Offers: Michigan, Notre Dame, Illinois, Miami, Nebraska, Wisconsin (among others).
Video: Soph.

Prep Career: 2009 Stats – 26 receptions for 432 yards and 5 TD's, 324 rushing yards and 5 TD’s, and 378 passing yards and 2 TD’s. On defense DaVaris accounted for 4 interceptions, and 32 tackles. Lead the Cougars to the second round of the class 5A IHSA Playoffs, where he played his best game of the season. Trailing Glenbard South 33-0 at one point, Daniels put Vernon Hills on his back accounting for nearly 200 total yards, and 3 rushing touchdowns. However that massive effort came up just a little short in the 33-26 defeat.

Analysis: One of the top receivers in the nation, Daniels is probably the best wideout in the Midwest for the 2011 recruiting class. He has good size, speed and his ridiculous vertical makes him a great redzone threat. Daniels is a pretty good route runner and possesses super hands. DaVaris also comes from a good pedigree. His father Phillip is a former University of Georgia player and current Washington Redskin defensive end.

Please keep checking in for more information about DaVaris in the coming months.
