Analysis: Miller is a prototypical type of TE. He has the right combination of size and speed needed to be an effective TE in college. Miller has good, reliable hands and runs decent routes. His size doesn't allow him to make clean cuts on his routes like skinneir and faster recievers. However his size does allow him to make tough catches over-the-middle without being crushed by a hard hitting linebacker. He has experience lining up on the outside but will probably never line up that way in college. What Miller lacks in top-end speed and acceleration he makes up for in hard-nosed running. When the ball is in his hands, Miller is a hard runner; he will be difficult to tackle on first contact which will allow him to gain a good amount of yards-after-contact. Miller is no stranger to hard work. He contributes significant playing time on both sides of the ball for his team. Not only is he a standout TE prospect but he also has substantial experience playing MLB. Having this experience allows him to be able to fully understand and read defensive packages when playing in college. Miller has visited Boston College, Stanford, Michigan, North Carolina, Wake Forest and Virginia. With offers coming in and schools really taking notice I would expect Miller to have a huge senior campaign this fall.
